Our first day camp of 2015 was a success! It did not go as scheduled (which isn't that unusual in such day camps), but it was a strong start. I even got to illustrate faith through a trust fall.

Deer Necklace
We gave our friend a special necklace given to us by Joni Eareckson Tada. This
necklace was designed by a lady named Tracy, who suffered from a car accident while
attending Baylor several years ago. The necklace displays the image of a deer
described in Isaiah 35:6, and our friend is wearing it with joy. He didn't even want to remove the necklace tag. I imagine he will
wear it every day.
Then
the lame will leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water
will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.

Global Access Conference
In February, we had the privilege of being a part of the Global Access Conference hosted by Joni and Friends. It was tremendous. There were so many amazing aspects of the conference. One of these highlights was being able to eat lunch with Joni Eareckson Tada and her husband, Ken.
We were able to listen to fabulous, inspirational speakers.
This artist painted this mural during the conference. The scene depicts the Great Banquet described in Luke 14.
Although this photo was actually taken in Dallas, it depicts our time together in California. My parents lovingly took care of our kids while we attended the conference.
